Shanghai is a vast and varied city. Its story is one of rapid growth, internationalism and newly-found wealth. The city is full of fascinating sights, districts and attractions. Our hotels in Shanghai provide the perfect base to explore this vibrant city.
We have a good collection of hotels in Shanghai, ranging from 3-5*. You'll find superb service in our hotels - and excellent business facilities. And our hotels all enjoy great city locations, meaning both business and holiday travellers will find everything they need in easy reach.
Explore the Bund and walk along the Huangpu river. You'll be walking through a living museum of different architectural styles. Then cross the river under the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel and had towards the stunning Oriental Pearl Tower.
Later, head south of the Bund to Nanshi, Shanghai's 'old town'. Small streets are lined with traditional Chinese buildings here. But the jewel in Nanshi's crown is the beautiful Yuyuan Gardens. Dating back to the 16th Century, these landscaped gardens are truely captivating. Winding pathways, rock gardens and pools filled with carp make for stunning views. The gardens are dotted with carefully restored Chinese pavilions and an ornate teahouse.
Other attractions include the district of Pudong, where you can crane your neck at its amazing skyscrapers. Alternatively, you may prefer to visit the peace and tranquillity of the Longhua Temple. Whatever your preference, staff at our hotels in Shanghai will be happy to arrange any transport you need.
It is also worth walking around the French Concession. Once known as the 'Paris of the East', this district is great for shopping now has some super boutiques and is famous for its beautifully refurbished shikumen houses, which cleverly blend Chinese and European design.
The French Concession is known also for its restaurants. However, if your feet are getting tired then head back to our hotels in Shanghai, where you can be sure of good food and excellent service. The restaurants at our hotels offer a wide variety of cuisines so, like with Shanghai itself, you'll be spoilt for choice.
