Three tropical islands, surrounded by stunning coral reefs, the beautiful Cayman Islands are an ideal destination for a beach or diving holiday. Home to over 100 nationalities, this fascinating place has plenty of culture to explore, too. Choose from our wide range of hotels and enjoy a wonderful Caribbean holiday.
We have a good choice of hotels in the Cayman Islands to book. They range from 3 to 5* and are all located on the main island of Grand Cayman. Many of our hotels overlook Seven Mile Beach - regarded by many as one of the best beaches in the world. Many of our hotels are family friendly and some have luxurious spas. Some of our hotels have rooms right on the beach.
The Cayman Islands are vibrant and colourful. With white beaches, multi-coloured coral reefs, turquoise seas and bright orange frog fish, it's no wonder these islands are the scuba diving capital of the world. Diving information is readily available in our hotels.
From diving in shipwrecks to walking through the rainforest, the Cayman Islands offer something for everyone. They promise year-round good weather, friendly people and great duty free shopping. British Airways' hotels are well positioned for you to make the most of this cosmopolitan location.
We recommend a day trip from one of our hotels to explore some of the historic sights on Grand Cayman. Georgetown is home to the Elmslie Memorial Church and the National Museum, and the impressive Pedro Castle is always popular. Alternatively, head across to Cayman Brac and visit the country's highest point, Cayman Bluff. You'll get great views across the islands and ocean from here.
Even though most of our hotels provide a continental breakfast or evening meal, we still advise sampling the local cuisine. Seafood, exotic fruits and vegetables find their way onto most tables. Jerk seasoning for meat and giant conch molluscs are also great favourites, the latter being used in soups in most restaurants, including our hotels. There are over 150 restaurants on these three small islands.
Before you leave, why not buy some local specialities as a reminder of your holiday? Caymanite is a semi precious stone that is found on the island. Black coral is also a unique item. Both are used in locally made jewellery. Don't forget to treat yourself to some Tortuga Rum and rum cake as well, delicious local specialities.
