Other facilities

Table tennis, croquet, complimentary non-motorised water sports. Water Skiing, scuba diving, big game fishing and parasailing (all at a charge), Motorised water sports are available at La Pirogue hotel next door. Charges apply for water skiing. There are six tennis courts shared between Sugar Beach Resort and sister property La Pirogue. A further court can also be used for basketball and handball.

Dining information

Mon Plaisir Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is the main restaurant of the hotel. Local, international, Meditteranean and Asian cuisine is available. Citronellas Cafe is an ocean side marketplace restaurant offering light meals, baked wood-fired pizza and fresh salad at lunchtime, and regional authentic Mediterranean cuisine at dinner. Guests can choose to be seated either inside, in the chic Italian style dining room, or outside in the shade of the cafes teak terrace overlooking the sea. The Plantation Bar offers poolside refreshments, snacks and speciality cocktails as well as evening entertainment. La Rhumerie is perfect for enjoying after dinner rums, cognacs, liquers and cigars try. Sugar Club Bar offers speciality fresh juices, soft drinks and ice cold beers. Some special diets can be catered for subject to prior arrangement with the hotel.

Transfers must be booked as additional items, for which separate vouchers will be required • A Sun Card, issued on arrival (one card per room), provides: • For guests staying a minimum of 7 nights, enjoy two nights in a Superior room at La Pirogue or Ambre without supplement, or a Standard room at Long Beach or a Deluxe room at Le Touessrok without supplement. (Interchange is possible on a half board basis and upon availability only, excluding the Christmas and New Year period. Bookings can only be requested after check IN at the booked hotel) • Enjoy dinner without supplement at either Mon Plaisir, Thatches or Citronella’s Café. You will be given a credit of Rs700 per adult and Rs 375 per child under 12, for dinner at either Paul and Virginie or Tides • Free golf at Le Touessrok Championship Golf course, cart fee of 25 Euros per person applies (booking required 24 hours in advance at the Public Relations desk) • Play on the Tamarina golf course at a preferential rate of 55 Euros including green fee and shuttle • A fee will apply for water skiing activities • Access to Ilot Mangenie, subject to prior reservation, for a fee of 55 Euros. That includes return boat transfer, sun lounges, towels and a small bottle of mineral water, a 3 course set menu lunch and one alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage • Cross-billing facilities for other Sun Resorts in Mauritius.
