Sandy Lane is no ordinary hotel. This exclusive resort on the select west coast of Barbados is regarded as the premier address in the Caribbean. The spa is stunning and the world-class golf courses are among the best on the island. Nestled in an ancient mahogany grove, Sandy Lane overlooks a magnificent crescent shaped beach. The personalised service is second to none. Guests arrive in a chauffeur driven car and are not only greeted by the impressive sight of the stunning coral stone, Palladian style building, but with freshly chilled towels and a welcome iced glass of fruit punch. Each of the spacious rooms, with their Italian marble floors and plantation style furniture, exudes style and calm. All have private verandas, palatial bathrooms and are equipped with state of the art technology. If golf is your game, you will be delighted to learn that there are three courses to choose from. The Old Nine course, which winds through the Sandy Lane estate or one of the two Tom Fazio designed golf courses. The Country Club is an 18 hole course with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, while the Green Monkey offers both a challenging course and spectacular views from its dramatic elevation. Enter the spa through the stunning marble reception area and rapturous staircases that lead to 14 treatment suites, changing rooms and water therapies. There is also a top fitness centre with a range of equipment and daily classes. The tennis courts are championship standard and for children, there is The Treehouse Club with organised activities for children aged 3-12 years, for older children there's The Den.
