This charming, family run hotel is located on the south coast of Barbados. It has a traditional Bajan style, with pale pink coral exteriors and bright floral furnishings. Its oceanfront setting overlooks a lovely white sandy beach. A large decking area, furnished with recliners, is set right on the shoreline. Butterfly Beach is within walking distance of the small fishing town, Oistins Bay. Oistins is home to the renowned 'Oistins Fish Fry' which takes place every Friday night. This event has a festive atmosphere and is the place to go to enjoy freshly cooked fish at a reasonable price and for a chance to meet the locals. A couple of shops, a bank and a few bars are also within walking distance from the hotel. St Lawrence Gap, which has several bars, restaurants and nightclubs, as well as shops and boutiques, is a short bus or taxi ride away. Barbados Golf Course is also nearby. The hotel's 93 units comprise of rooms and studios. Many enjoy sea views and a balcony or a terrace. All of the rooms have an in-room safe, fridge, air conditioning, free internet access and ceiling fans. The Island View Studios also have a kitchenette with a fridge, toaster and kettle. Hotel facilities include a small, but lovely pool, three whirlpools, a shop, currency exchange and a hair salon. The beachside bar and grill serves fresh food daily. It also hosts local live entertainment two nights a week. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. This feeling is enhanced by the welcoming helpfulness of the multi-lingual staff. The hotel is very popular with British Airways customers and enjoys lots of repeat visitors. Although there is not a kids' club, the hotel has several interconnecting rooms available on request, which are ideal for families. There is free WiFi in the public areas.

The restaurant and beach bar is informal and opens for buffet breakfast, lunch, daytime snacks and dinner daily, serving a medley of continental and Caribbean cuisine. There is regular weekly entertainment and daily happy hours. Located directly on the sea, the new restaurant deck is the perfect romantic spot to enjoy a meal or a cool tropical drink. Indoors, the bar also provides a large-screen TV for those all-important sporting events and lounge seating.
