Casuarina Beach Resort

This friendly, relaxing hotel is located on the south coast of Barbados. It is close to the restaurants, shops and bars of St Lawrence Gap. It is also just five miles from the airport and four miles away from the island's capital, Bridgetown. The Casuarina looks out over a beautiful, big sandy beach. It is set within ten acres of tropical gardens, which are punctuated by the turquoise of swimming pools. The hotel's 297 fresh, contemporary rooms enjoy garden, pool or ocean views. All also have a private terrace or French balcony. The resort has a great range of activities including sailing, kayaking, a fitness centre and tennis (lessons available). A good kids' club provides educational fun for children of all ages. A nursery cares for the under-twos. Activities for under- 12s include beach and pool games, dance, local culture and music, computers and video games. Teenagers may enjoy movies, water sports and a disco night. A babysitting service is also available. The resort's three restaurants offer a choice of international and traditional Caribbean cuisine. Enid's specialises in a Bajan menu and offers cookery classes for anyone keen to take the taste of their holiday home. The Waves serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Dover Grill is the hotel's seafood restaurant. There are also four bars (including a swim up bar) serving all inclusive premium brand drinks, cocktails and soft drinks. Live entertainment is available nightly. The spa offers a range of treatments including massages and body wraps. There is also a beauty salon offering hair styling and a nail studio.

DRESS CODE In restaurants shoes must be worn, bathing suits must be covered and men must not wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts. After 6.30pm men have to wear long trousers or smart jeans and women have to wear dresses, slacks or culottes (no shorts or shorts outfits). We strongly recommend that transfers are booked in this destination. Transfers must be booked as additional items, for which separate vouchers will be required.
