Beau Rivage is a modern, boutique hotel ideally located in Nice's Old Town. It is the only hotel to have a private beach with a restaurant, and is just steps from the renowned Promenade des Anglais. Built in 1860, famous past guests include Matisse. It was completely renovated for the 21st century by French architect Jean-Michael Wilmotte. Nice's famed Flower Market and Place Massena are about a two-minute walk and the sea is about 50m away. Beau Rivage has a distinctly designer feel. The 118 rooms include a colour scheme of warm browns, white and blues. The bathrooms feature straight lines and minimalist design, with rectangular washbasins and other contemporary features. All of the rooms provide internet access with free WiFi offered, pay TV and an on demand HiFi system. A stylish area has been created on the hotel's private pebble beach. Stretch out on a sun bed under a parasol, available from April to October, for a relaxed moment under the French Riviera sun. La Plage restaurant is open for lunch, all year round (weather permitting). The trendy ‘Le Lounge’ terrace is the perfect place to enjoy brunch or to sip a cool beverage, whilst admiring the relaxed atmosphere and luxurious surroundings.

Serves hot and cold breakfast buffet daily at a charge. Lunch and dinner served on request only for groups that book in advance • Le Bistrot du Rivage - expansive sea views. A la carte menu for lunch and dinner, which specialises in fresh grilled meat or sea food. Children's menu available. Open April to October, with an outdoor terrace between May and September • Piano Bar - light lunches and dinners are served tapas-style in the contemporary surroundings of this chic bar, which has taupe sofas, beachscape photos, and soft lighting. Cocktails, wine, and an impressive selection of whiskeys are available • Restaurant de la Plage - This beachfront restaurant is open for dinner and offers al fresco dining and weekend brunch.
