British Airways has regular flights to Palma de Mallorca. Flights land at Son Sant
Joan Airport, five miles east of Palma. After your flight to Palma, hop on the
bus into the city centre and before long you'll be exploring Palma Old
Town's medieval streets. Shake off the cobwebs after your Palma flight
with a few tapas snacks along the buzzing Passeig Marítim
seafront.
Travel to/from central Palma de Mallorca
After Palma flights have landed, the easiest way into Palma's city centre is
to take the bus to Plaça Espanya, which takes about 20 minutes.
Buses leave every 15 minutes from outside Palma airport's Flight Arrivals.
It's easy to stroll to hotels around Palma's Old Town but
if you have heavy luggage, you can take a taxi from outside Palma
airport's Flight Arrivals after your Palma flight. The journey takes
between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on traffic, so allow plenty of time for your
return flight from Palma.
Best of Palma de Mallorca
After your flight to Palma, discover the city's medieval heart in the
cobbled Old Town, and its vibrant, cosmopolitan vibe along Palma's
seafront. Take your pick of Palma's sandy beaches nearby, including popular
El Arenal and Can Pastilla to the east. Or go south-west from
Palma for the party beach at Magaluf. Travel west of Palma for snorkelling in
the crystal clear waters around Cala Basset, or take a daytrip from Palma to
Portocristo's Coves del Drac in the west of Mallorca. Before
your flight home from Palma, buy local cheese, sausages, wine and herby island
liqueurs.
