With British Airways flights to Moscow using ultra-modern Domodedovo Airport,
post-flight procedures are virtually stress free. Within no time after your flight
lands, you can head north up Moscow's main thoroughfare, Tverskaya, and
east past the Neoclassical Bolshoi Theatre. Or follow the Moscow River
through enigmatic Gorky Park to stretch your legs after your flight. Sample
Moscow nightlife at modern city-centre clubs or with a post-flight nightcap overlooking
the bohemian Patriarch's Ponds area.
Travel to/from central Moscow
Complete your Migration Card in-flight to avoid post-flight queues upon arrival in
Moscow. An official taxi desk opposite Flight Arrivals means an end to
over-inflated prices. For an ultra-smooth journey after your Moscow flight, however,
take the Aeroexpress train and it's just 50 minutes and two Metro stops to
Moscow's Red Square. Check in online before your flights home, and
you'll go straight through to Immigration to clear pre-flight formalities
ahead of the crowds. Economy Class flight passengers can relax in DVD cinema booths
on the second floor.
Best of Moscow
Once you step off the dazzling Moscow Metro after your flight, admire
Moscow's iconic Red Square landmarks over a post-flight drink. Save
a whole morning for the vast Moscow Kremlin, but do your souvenir shopping in
just 30 minutes at Moscow's most famous store, GUM. Make a beeline
for the Impressionists in Moscow's celebrated Pushkin Museum of art,
and tour the graves – including Yeltsin's – in
Moscow's most famous cemetery, Novodevichy. Go off the beaten track
to see some of Moscow's oldest buildings, including old aristocratic
palaces in the Kitai Gorod district, then dine on anything from traditional
Russian to international fare in Moscow's Kuznetsky Most area.
