Travel to/from central Lisbon
When your Lisbon flight lands, the quickest way into the city centre is by
taxi, which takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Buy a Taxi
Voucher from Lisbon Tourist Information in Flight Arrivals and wait for a taxi
driver to call you. Or take a taxi from outside Flight Arrivals, which run on a
meter. Choose the Aerobus for a quick, cheap trip to central Lisbon. Save
money on local buses, which travel to the city centre as well as Nations
Park, and connect with the metro. Leave early to catch your return flight
from Lisbon, in case traffic is heavy.

After your Lisbon flight lands, head into central Lisbon to see Belém
district's Discoveries Monument commemorating explorer Vasco da
Gama's 15th-century voyages. Admire religious carvings in the National
Museum of Ancient Art. Learn about local folk music at Lisbon's
Fado Museum in the Alfama district and hear a concert by
Lisbon's prized Gulbenkian Orchestra. Enjoy traditional Lisbon cuisine in
the Bairro Alto and stay there for cocktails in trendy Lisbon bars. Or seek
out Lisbon's media types in warehouse bars along Lisbon's
renovated Alcântara dock area. Before your flight home from Lisbon,
pack your flight bags with presunto cured ham and sweet moscatel
wine.
