Flights to Chennai

Travel to/from central Chennai
After your flight lands at Chennai, you have plenty of options to reach Chennai's city centre. For ease, take a pre-paid taxi, buying a ticket at the International Airport Arrivals hall for your half-hour journey into central Chennai. For a cheaper option after your Chennai flight, jump into a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw, comfortably carrying up to two passengers into Chennai. Even cheaper is Chennai's suburban train from nearby Trisulam station, although not suitable if you have lots of luggage.

Once you've recovered from your flight to Chennai, explore George Town. Here, you'll discover Chennai's colonial Fort St George and St Mary's Church, India's oldest church.
