British Airways flights to Boston land at Boston Logan Airport, eight miles
north-east of central Boston. After your Boston flight, take the bus over the Charles
River and you'll be drinking a local beer in a waterfront cafe in no
time. Then it's time to explore the famous sights of Boston's historic
city centre or to treat yourself to some post-flight Italian home cooking in an
authentic North End trattoria.
Travel to/from central Boston
After your flight to Boston Logan Airport, head into Boston on a Silver Line
bus, which departs from all flight terminals to Downtown Boston.
Alternatively after your flight, catch a free shuttle that connects with the
speedy Blue Line subway service. For the best Boston views straight from your
flight, take the water shuttle across the bay into Boston Harbour.
Taxis are plentiful and comfortable after your Boston flight, but
remember to allow extra time when leaving as traffic can be very busy, especially in
Boston's rush hour.
Best of Boston
After your Boston flights, take time to explore the city on foot. Stretch your legs
after your flight with a rambling walk through busy Beacon Hill and the funky
North End district. You can take in sights like Boston's
17th-century Paul Revere House or Bunker Hill Monument. Pack an empty
suitcase on your Boston flights as the designer stores and fashion boutiques of
Boston's famous Newbury Street are a magnet for a little retail
therapy. Don't take a flight home from Boston till you've visited
Cambridge, home to elegant town squares and the grand grounds and museums
of Harvard University.
