British Airways has frequent flights to Bermuda. Flights land at Bermuda L.F. Wade
International Airport on St David's Island, the north-eastern
tip of the main Bermuda island. It's 15 miles from the airport to
Bermuda's capital, the harbour town of Hamilton. Surrounded by pink
sandy beaches and clear waters, Hamilton is astonishingly pretty - flights to
Bermuda land you in your own piece of paradise.
Travel to/from Bermuda
After your flights to Bermuda, take a taxi from outside the terminal to your
destination on Bermuda. It'll take 30 minutes to Bermuda's
capital, Hamilton. After flights to Bermuda, expect a taxi journey of one
hour to reach the West End resorts. You can also get to where you're
going by bus after your flight to Bermuda, but they don't have much
luggage space. Be prepared to pay higher fares on Sundays and Bermuda bank holidays.
There are no hire cars available on Bermuda.
Best of Bermuda
As soon as your Bermuda flight lands, you'll want to enjoy the glorious
sunshine. Head to crescent-shaped Horseshoe Bay to paddle in the warm Bermuda
water. Take a boat trip from the north shores of Bermuda to explore the dive site
around the wreck of Spanish liner Cristobal Colon. Catch a ferry from Bermuda
capital Hamilton to visit the Royal Naval Dockyard, home of the
Bermuda Maritime Museum. Back on dry land, stop at the craft market to
buy traditional Bermuda wood carvings and handmade jewellery to take home with you
on your return flights from Bermuda.
