British Airways has frequent flights to Antigua, landing at Antigua's VC Bird
International Airport. Antigua flights will bring you to the north-eastern
corner of Antigua. From here it's just a short, 15-minute hop to the resorts
and beaches of Dickenson Bay or the colourful capital of St
John's. After your Antigua flight, relax on deserted Runaway
Beach or join Antiguans dancing to steel bands in St John's for
a fun night out.
Travel to/from central Antigua
Antigua is only 11 miles wide so there's very little distance to travel when
your flight lands in Antigua. From the airport, it's a 15-minute
taxi ride to the capital St John's and the beach resorts
dotted around the coastline of Antigua. Alternatively, hire a car when your
Antigua flight lands to ferry yourself around Antigua's beaches and
sights.
Best of Antigua
The minute your flight to Antigua lands, you'll want to soak up the Antiguan
sun. Choose Darkwood Beach's swathes of white sand and turquoise
water for a paradise Antiguan holiday to remember. Alternatively, Antigua's
bustling Jolly Harbour has a lively beach next to the marina. For some
culture, go to English Harbour's historic dockyard, which is oozing
with colonial character. Restored stone buildings line the Antiguan quayside,
overlooked by nearby Fort Shirley. Feast on Antigua's famous
fungi and pepperpot, a meaty stew with dumplings, washed down with cold
beer. Shop for local pottery at Antigua's villages, and Antiguan-made
Cavalier rum to bring home on your return flight from Antigua.
