How will this change affect my membership?You don't need to do anything as the change will take effect automatically on 17 June 2008. Your Asia Miles membership will still be valid so you can remain a member of both programmes if you choose.
Choosing between BA Miles and Asia MilesEach time you fly you will need to decide which programme you want your miles to be awarded to, as miles can only be credited to one account.After the 17 June when quoting your Executive Club membership number you will automatically earn BA Miles and Tier Points for flown flights. You can only quote one membership number when you book and you will not be able to transfer miles between the two programmes. You can even collect BA Miles on all discounted economy fares3, an option that has not been available before! Additional tier bonusesOn top of the generous cabin bonuses you'll receive when you fly, you'll also earn BA Miles bonuses depending on your level of membership. For example, if you're a Silver Executive Club member, you'll earn an additional 25% bonus4 for flights travelled with British Airways or Qantas. So instead of 1 BA Mile for every mile flown, you'll receive 1.25 BA Miles3. Booking reward flights and upgradesAs well as being able to collect BA Miles easily, you'll have plenty of opportunities to redeem them. For example you can use your BA Miles to enjoy an upgrade1 to a premium cabin for just one leg of your journey. You simply decide whether it's your outward flight or your return flight.You can also cancel or change any reward flights or upgrades you've booked up to 24 hours before the departure of your first outbound flight. So if your plans change, there's no need to worry – your BA Miles will be credited back to your account, ready for you to use at another time. And if you would like to take a reward flight using your BA Miles but don't have enough in your account, you can now book using part BA Miles and part cash . You can even purchase6 additional BA Miles too. What's more, all these options are available to you online. And you can do it online by quoting your ticket numbers, flight numbers and dates of travel - it's really easy.
