Customers who can use this facility are:
1.  Customers who have booked directly with British Airways and paid for by credit or debit card, and customers who have made their booking through a Travel Agent and whose travel is either commencing within 24 hours, or whose travel has already commenced.

2.  For both the above, you must have an e-ticket booking wholly on British Airways marketed flights (i.e. with a BA flight number, including Codeshares and Franchises e.g. BA1234), as follows:
  • A one-way journey, e.g. London - Paris
  • A point to point return journey, e.g. London - Paris - London
  • A journey that has a through connection e.g. Glasgow - London - New York - London - Glasgow.

3.  Please note: Any changes to your booking are subject to the fare rules and conditions of your ticket.

4.  You can access this change booking facility through 'Manage My Booking' on ba.com. To access 'Manage My Booking' please click here.

5.  You will need your six character booking reference. You may also need your original form of payment credit card as an additional security check to enable you to use this facility.

7.  Please note: If you change your flight times or dates and you had seats or meals requested on your original flight, these requests will not be transferred across to your new flights.   If you have changed your flight time or date please ensure you re-request your meals or seats through our 'Manage My Booking' facility.

8.  Please note:  Currently, tickets are not refundable online.


Customers who cannot use this facility are:
1.  If the booking has been made directly with British Airways, payment has not been made by credit or debit card, or if the booking has been made through a Travel Agent, the departure time is not within 24 hours, or the journey has not commenced.

2.  Travel is not wholly on British Airways marketed flights (i.e. with a BA flight number, including Codeshares and Franchises e.g. BA1234).

3.  The booking is not an e-ticket booking.

4.  The booking is not an applicable journey type as detailed below.
  • A one-way journey, e.g. London - Paris
  • A point to point return journey, e.g. London - Paris - London
  • A journey that has a through connection e.g. Glasgow - London - New York - London - Glasgow.

5.  The booking is a 'Group' or 'Skyflyer' booking.

6.  The booking is a frequent flyer redemption booking.

7.  If certain special assistance has been requested, such as wheelchair assistance or complex medical assistance.

8.  If certain baggage requests have been made such as pets in the hold, seeing eye dogs in the cabin, bicycles, bulky baggage, cabin baggage requiring a seat, specialist sporting equipment, firearms / ammunition in the hold or pre-booked excess baggage.

9.  When an infant bassinet or cot position has been pre-booked.
