Our diversity and inclusion team have developed a strategy for our company that engages all our people with the aim of recognising talent and promoting flexible thinking. The strategy is supported and integrated into all departments through our senior level sponsors and champions.
This in turn will identify and meet the diverse needs of our customers.
We are the proud sponsors of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and look forward to building relationships between people of many different nationalities, beliefs and backgrounds.
We also have a variety of British Airways employee network groups to support this strategy including:
- Link is a women's network
- Bangles is a network for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees
- DEG is a Disabled Employee Group
- EDEN is a Ethnically Diverse Employee Group
- Interfaith network group
Another strategy we have set up is for conflict and harassment resolution. There are a total of 50 advisors and mediators working across British Airways to create a culture where dignity and respect are hallmarks of relationships at work, and where harassment or bullying are not allowed to be tolerated.
