British Airways is delighted to announce the launch of a new global charity partnership with Comic Relief, in a move that will strengthen the airline’s long tradition of support for disadvantaged children and communities around the world.
Comic Relief funds hundreds of projects both at home in the UK, and abroad, tackling a wide variety of issues faced by poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
Comic Relief's vision is a just world, free from poverty, and since 1985 it has inspired supporters to have fun while raising cash to help change lives.
Key to the partnership will be our onboard spare change initiative. Through the generosity of our customers, and hard work of our staff, we will be able to raise vital cash that will change people’s lives.
The partnership will operate on a year-round basis, and we will soon be able to put any spare change or foreign currency donated on board our flights towards the work that Comic Relief is funding.
Comic Relief raises money to tackle a wide variety of problems faced by poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Visit the Comic Relief website to see how the charity spends the money raised by supporters to help tackle these issues.
