Fun on - and off - the water

From boating to dolphin-watching, your Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg Florida holiday is guaranteed to be full of adventure. Off the beaten track

Explore the award-winning beaches of Caladesi Island and Fort De Soto Park, designated America's number-one beach in 2005. Wander along one of the trails winding through a luxuriant pine and oak forest, and then freshen up with a dip on an isolated beach.

Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg Beach

The jewel of the St. Pete and Clearwater beaches, Clearwater Beach is a sparkling white belt of sand. And, with a friendly town attached to it, it’s a great base from which to explore the coast. St. Pete Beach is known for its phenomenal sunsets, fine restaurants and romantic heritage - characterised by the glamorous 1928-built Don CeSar Beach Resort.

Don't miss Sand Key Park, with its tall palm trees framing a beautiful coastal vista - this is an excellent place for dolphin-spotting, too. Other things to see in Clearwater include the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where injured marine mammals including dolphins, are rescued and rehabilitated.

And of course don't forget to sit on the beach and watch the sun set into the Gulf of Mexico at least once on your Clearwater and St. Petersburg holiday.
