Next on your list of car rental destinations should perhaps be the town of Almogia. Called 'The Pretty One' by the Moors who at one time settled it, this picturesque village is west of the Malaga Mountains and is renowned for its surviving Roman roadways.

The village of Alhaurin el Grande preserves its Roman and Moorish heritage too, and car rental is also needed to visit this vibrant town. In the forested areas to the southeast of its borders, archaeologists have found evidence of Neolithic occupation.

10 km east of Malaga, you can also use car rental to reach the town of Rincon de la Victoria. Originally a fishing village with prehistoric origins, it has since grown into a popular tourist destination with sandy beaches stretching for some 9 km.
