A short drive south, you'll find the smaller city of Long Beach - still the second biggest city in Los Angeles County. At Long Beach Harbour, you can explore the impressive Queen Mary liner, once the pride of the high seas.

Car rental visitors can also visit the Aquarium of the Pacific nearby. Long Beach Museum of Art is also well worth a look, and if you've got a day to spare, a ferry ride to peaceful Catalina Island is also recommended.
