Ravinia, the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, is around 25 miles from Chicago city centre. Outdoor concerts and performances are held every year between June and September - under the name Ravinia Festival. We love using our car rental to make this trip really easy.
We also recommend car rental for a tour of the North Shore. Drive out past the pretty lakeside campus of Northwestern University, stop to look at the Grosse Pointe Lighthouse, then continue on to the Baha'i Temple in Wilmette. Whilst in Wisconsin, don't miss the picturesque Geneva Lake. Car rental will get you there in around two hours. Lakeside attractions include Bigfoot Beach State Park and Lake Geneva Yacht Club.
