Car rental in Bordeaux

Silver car.

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, the city of Bordeaux has over 350 historic monuments and is great for exploring once your car rental is arranged.

Vibrant and cosmopolitan, Bordeaux has the distinction of being a modern city that has kept its historical identity, and car rental gives you the freedom to discover its ancient architecture and contemporary attractions.

We recommend starting your car rental tour of the city by visiting one of Bordeaux's inspirational churches, either the Saint-Andre Cathedral, or the Basilicas of Saint-Michel or Saint-Seurin, all of which are on the pilgrim's road to Santiago de Compostela. Car rental is also ideal if you want to visit The Grand Theatre, the Aquitaine Museum, the Rue Saint-James or the Priory in Cayac.

No visit to the Bordeaux region would be complete without enjoying some its world famous wines. Guided vineyard tours are organised from the city, but you can also create your own car rental wine trail and visit various vineyards yourself. Car rental is the perfect option for wine tours, provided you choose a designated driver when sampling each vintage.

We work in partnership with Avis to provide your car hire. All Avis car rental includes mandatory third party liability insurance*, unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver (excess applies), theft protection (excess applies), taxes and airport surcharges*. If you want to reduce excess payments, you can pay for Super Collision Damage Waiver when you collect your car.

(* for North American residents we offer Exclusive car rental plans, details of which can be viewed in relevant search results).
