We've been voted Best Airline.
Clearly this isn't good enough.

At the recent Business Traveller Awards we picked up seven of the top awards including Best Airline. This means a great deal to us as the people who voted are the flyers themselves. We are aware that recently our service has fallen short of our high standards we set ourselves. So this is what we're going to do:


We are reducing our flying programme to concentrate on delivering the very best service.
To improve our operational performance during the next few months we have amended our schedules.
There will be some reductions on a small number of our routes that have a wide range of alternative frequencies across the day. The cancelled flights represent only 0.5% of our Heathrow flying programme this year.
Amending our schedule now is a prudent precautionary measure, which relieves pressure on our flying programme and allows us to provide our customers with a more robust flight schedule during the next three months.
These changes have been made to ensure we minimise the inconvenience to our customers.


We are employing 200 more customer service staff.
This will ensure a better standard of service for our customers when we face operational and technical difficulties.
The new staff will be in addition to 216 new airport terminal staff already being trained and drafted into the British Airways operation at Heathrow.


We will continue to offer fantastic low prices.
We will continue to offer customers the convenience of frequent, affordable flights from centrally located UK and European airports.
Prices start from £59 return including tax on certain routes. We offer year-round low fares to 170 key destinations within Europe and the UK.
Saturday night stay and advance purchase restrictions have been removed on these fares to offer the best possible choice for you.


We will be giving new offers to our Executive Club members.
Members of our Executive Club programme can look forward to a number of new and exciting offers, such as the recent BA Miles auction for British Airways Holidays, our first offer of this kind.
With the festive season fast approaching, we will be launching further offers on our News and Offers pages on ba.com


We are improving our award winning business class.
In the Terraces Lounge at JFK we will be improving the dining experience with a selection of signature dishes created by UK based Michelin starred chefs, members of the British Airways 'Culinary Council'.
The menus will be trialled in the lounge in JFK and will be rolled out to other destinations, which offer The Sleeper Service.
To help more customers get a better and longer night’s sleep, we are rolling out The Sleeper Service in Club World on overnight flights from Washington to London.
We will be making further product improvements to Club World in the New Year.
