Head to Nice on holiday and you'll be stunned by the gorgeous setting of Nice's
beach, as it edges beautiful blue Bay des Anges. The Promenade des Anglais
and Quai des Etats-Unis run alongside for walks with fabulous sea views. Nice's
beach is stony, so for a holiday of sandcastles or water sports, head west. For scenery
and glamour, go east.

the rocky shoreline, fragrant with pine, around Cap Ferrat or Cap
Martin to the east, or Cap d'Antibes to the west, and
you'll have narrow coves all to yourself.

d'Antibes, about 12 miles west.
