Sleep tips for more restful travel

Staying alert on a business trip is all about developing and maintaining regular patterns of eating, exercise and sleep. Start your new routines as soon as you board the aircraft to give your body and brain a chance to adapt. Better still, try to adapt to these new routines before you fly.

Here are some top tips to help keep your body in tip top condition before, during and after you travel.

Exercise is important – but not too close to bedtime
Exercise can be helpful in resetting your internal body clock and can help you revitalise after a long flight. However it is best not to do any strenuous exercise within 2-3 hours of bedtime as it might interrupt sleep.
