Connecting at London Gatwick

London Gatwick airport has two terminals, connected by a monorail train. It’s a short journey to travel between the North and South Terminals.

All flights British Airways flights depart from Gatwick’s North Terminal. If part of your journey departs from or arrives into the South Terminal, please follow signs for Flight Connections to transfer terminals for your next flight.


Arriving into Gatwick North Terminal

Please choose the route you will be travelling, depending on whether your arriving and departing flights are International or Domestic (UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands):

International arrivals to international departures
  • On arrival, follow signs to Flight Connections.
  • Follow signs for North Terminal International Flight Connections.
  • If you do not have a boarding card, go to the British Airways Flight Connections desks to obtain one.
  • If you do not have a boarding card, go to the British Airways Flight Connections desks to obtain one.
  • Go through security.
  • Go to the departure gate.
  • Television monitors will display departure gate information one hour prior to departure.
  • Flights will not be called over a loud speaker system, so please use television monitors.
  • You need to be at your departure gate at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you are not on board your aircraft 10 minutes before its departure time, you will not be allowed to fly and your baggage will be taken off the aircraft.

International arrivals to UK, Republic of Ireland & Channel Islands departures
  • On arrival, follow the signs to arrivals and Flight Connections.
  • Go through immigration and customs.
  • Once in the arrivals hall, follow signs to departures.
  • If you do not have a boarding card, go to a check in desk to obtain one.
  • If you do not have a boarding card, go to a check in desk to obtain one.
  • Go to the departure gate.
  • Television monitors will display departure gate information one hour prior to departure.
  • You need to be at your departure gate at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you are not on board your aircraft 10 minutes before its departure time, you will not be allowed to fly and your baggage will be taken off the aircraft.

UK, Republic of Ireland & Channel Islands arrivals to International departures
  • On arrival, follow the signs to International Flight Connections.
  • Go through Security.
  • Go to the departure lounge.
  • Television monitors will display departure gate information one hour prior to departure.
  • You need to be at your departure gate at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you are not on board your aircraft 10 minutes before its departure time, you will not be allowed to fly and your baggage will be taken off the aircraft.
