Same value, different name
The British Airways Executive Club currency, which was called BA Miles, is now called Avios. The value remains the same: 1 BA Mile = 1 Avios and you will now see Avios shown on your statement.
You can collect Avios when you make a booking with us and you can spend them on reward flights when you have enough Avios.
Executive Club members
You don't have to do anything if you are already a member of the British Airways Executive Club. You will now automatically collect Avios, which will show on your statement.
British Airways, Iberia and Avios (Airmiles) are part of the parent group, International Airlines Group (IAG), and because of this we have made things easier for our customers and introduced one currency across our different frequent flyer and collecting programmes.
This does not change any of the individual programmes, you will just collect Avios instead of your previous currency.
Other member programmes
If you're a member of the British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus or Avios programmes, you can collect with the IAG companies by entering your membership number into your booking.
