Silent Picturehouse 2013 – Terms and Conditions

  1. The British Airways Silent Picturehouse 2013 event (the "Event") is only open to persons aged 18 years or over ("Eligible Persons"). BA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Persons prior to or at any time during the Event. By purchasing tickets for this Event, Eligible Persons confirm that they accept these terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions"). 
  2. To attend this Event, Eligible Persons may purchase tickets by visiting ba.com/silentpicturehouse (the "Event Website") or where limited tickets are available through competitions directly related to the Event.
  3. The ticket purchaser must be an Eligible Person and all tickets purchased for persons other than the ticket purchaser must be used only by Eligible Persons.
  4. If the ticket purchaser will not be attending the Event, the name of one of the attending Eligible Persons must be provided by checking the appropriate tick box and completing the information required through the booking tool on the Event Website.
  5. Each ticket purchaser may purchase up to a maximum of six tickets in total.
  6. Confirmation of the successful purchase of tickets for the Event will be sent by email to the contact email address provided by the ticket purchaser ("e-ticket confirmation email"). BA accepts no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from the ticket purchaser's error, misdirected or incomplete purchases arising from computer malfunction, viruses, bugs or other such causes.
  7. Each Eligible Person's e-ticket confirmation email must be shown on arrival (in either printed or electronic form) at the Event along with valid ID of the ticket purchaser or the named Eligible Person if not the ticket purchaser. At BA's discretion, each other Eligible Person must also produce valid ID.
  8. Event tickets will be provided at the Event Box Office upon presentation of the e-ticket confirmation email.
  9. Except as otherwise set out in these Terms and Conditions, Event tickets purchased are non-changeable and non-refundable. Once Event ticket purchases have been confirmed, refunds may be permitted up to 48 hours prior to the start of the Event to which that Eligible Person has tickets. Such refunds shall be granted entirely at BA's or its affiliates' discretion. BA accepts no responsibility if one or more of the Eligible Persons cannot attend the Event.
  10. Event tickets shall be purchased for personal use only and not as part of any commercial activity, unless BA has expressly authorised such activity in writing. Event tickets shall not be resold or offered for resale or offered as part of any promotion that has not been expressly authorised by BA in writing. Event tickets that are offered in contravention of this paragraph shall automatically be deemed invalid.
  11. Prices are set out on the Event Website and may be subject to change (however price changes will not affect successful ticket purchases in respect of which a ticket purchaser has previously received an e-ticket confirmation email). All prices are inclusive of VAT, however other local taxes may be applicable.
  12. Each ticket purchased to the Event includes entry to the Event, a screening from a choice of five travel inspired films, a box of popcorn, an ice-cream, a glass of Taittinger Champagne and sweets and treats.
  13. BA accepts no responsibility if your desired choice of film is unavailable.
  14. BA reserves the right to screen substitute films or substitute other elements of the Event should the specified films or such other elements become unavailable or otherwise inappropriate for reasons beyond BA's control.
  15. Personal data will be taken from all ticket purchasers or lead Eligible Persons (as appropriate) but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the Event. This information may be shared with any other third parties reasonably involved in the Event without liability to BA or such third parties.
  16. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, each Eligible Person is consenting to photos and film footage taken of him/her at the Event and being used by BA and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts ("BAFTA") for the promotion of the Event and any future events, post-Event promotional activities and such other forms of promotion as BA or BAFTA may deem fit including but not limited to promotions via social media, on www.ba.com or related websites and in BA press releases.
  17. Information collected from ticket purchasers shall in addition be subject to BA’s Privacy Policy: http://www.britishairways.com/travel/prvdet/public/en.
  18. BA reserves the right to cancel or amend without notice the terms of this Event and any tickets issued in the event of major catastrophe, war, earthquake or any actual or anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other circumstance beyond BA's control in its sole discretion. In the case of such a circumstance beyond BA's control occurring, BA will accept any reasonable request from a ticket purchaser for a full or partial refund.
  19. Except as otherwise expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions, BA and its affiliates shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of their respective obligations that are caused by events outside of their reasonable control. BA's total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the purchase of Event tickets shall be limited to the price paid for those Event tickets. BA and its affiliates shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or otherwise in relation to the Event for any special, indirect or consequential losses incurred by an Eligible Person or such other person in any way. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall operate to exclude or limit BA's or its affiliates' liability for death or personal injury resulting from BA's or its affiliates' negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which may not be excluded or limited by law.
  20. BA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or terminate any ticket purchases without refund made by any individual it finds to be tampering with the ticket purchase process or the operation of the Event or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or any promotion related to the Event or, in BA's sole discretion, in an inappropriate, offensive or disruptive manner (either prior to or while attending the Event). Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Event and any related promotions may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, BA reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. 
  21. BA’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  22. These Terms and Conditions are between BA and the ticket purchaser and/or the Eligible Persons on behalf of whom the ticket purchaser has purchased tickets (as appropriate). No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
  23. These Terms and Conditions apply to everyone attending the Event with no exceptions.
  24. Promotional materials form part of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions will prevail in the event of any conflict between these and the promotional materials. All third party terms and conditions relating to the Event shall also apply.
  25. If any of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall remain valid and enforceable.
  26. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
  27. The promoter of this Event is British Airways plc (BA), Waterside, PO Box 365, Harmondsworth, UB7 0GB.  Registered Number 1777777, England.
  28. BA may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to a third party and will always notify the ticket purchaser in writing if this happens. Such transfer will not affect the ticket purchaser's rights or BA's (or its successor's) obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
  29. The Event is managed by M-is, a company incorporated in England with registration number 06311065 and registered office at Catthorpe Hall, Main Street, Catthorpe, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 6DB.
  30. M-is has appointed Contact Media Ventures Ltd to administer the registrations for the Event on their behalf.

Silent Picturehouse Kids 2013 - Terms and Conditions

  1. The British Airways Silent Picturehouse Kids 2013 event (the "Event") is open to all. Any person who purchases, has purchased on their behalf or otherwise receives tickets for this Event ("Person") confirms that they accept these terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions"). 
  2. To attend this Event, Persons may purchase tickets by visiting ba.com/silentpicturehouse (the "Event Website") or where limited tickets are available through competitions directly related to the Event.
  3. The ticket purchaser must be a Person aged 18 or over ("Adult"). Subject to the provisions of paragraphs 4 and 5 below, there are no minimum age requirements for other Persons on whose behalf the ticket purchaser purchases Event tickets.
  4. Except as otherwise expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions, BA and its affiliates' accept no responsibility for Persons under the age of 18 attending the Event and the supervision of all children will be the responsibility of the Adult(s) who accompanies those children. A ratio of one Adult for every two children is required at the Event at all times and will not be compromised by BA or its affiliates.
  5. If the ticket purchaser will not be attending the Event, one of the attending Persons must be an Adult. This lead Adult's name must be provided by checking the appropriate tick box and completing the information required through the booking tool on the Event Website.
  6. Each ticket purchaser may purchase up to a maximum of twelve tickets in total.
  7. Confirmation of the successful purchase of tickets for the Event will be sent by email to the contact email address provided by the ticket purchaser ("e-ticket confirmation email"). BA accepts no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from the ticket purchaser's error, misdirected or incomplete purchases arising from computer malfunction, viruses, bugs or other such causes.
