It's time to don your cowboy boots and Stetson, as the Jasper Heritage Rodeo moseys into town. Contestants compete against the clock in a series of categories including bull riding, bareback and saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling and more.
Spectators are encouraged to dress up, with prizes awarded for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl.
On 12 August there is a Stick Pony Parade, where kids are invited to bring along their toy horses and participate in the fancy dress parade that winds through the town, with the rodeo clown on hand to provide entertainment and free face-painting. The extravaganza ends with a rodeo performance to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer called It's Tough Enough to Wear Pink - don't miss it!
