The International Poetry Festival, held in Genoa's Palazzo Ducale amongst other venues, is a prominent international literary event, boasting relationships with the festivals in Rotterdam and Medellin. Poetry, music and dance events are enriched with talks by authors.
Celebrating 15 years in 2009, the festival invites back some of the artists who have previously participated, including Nobel Prize winners Walcott and Soyinka. There are various special sections, such as Best Of and European Voices, along with the successful Poetry Night, which returns with 60 free performances, concerts, readings and installations.
Full details are published on the festival website.
