Arima's Santa Rosa Festival is rooted in the culture of the Caribbean Amerindians and honours the patron saint of the local Carib community with a lively parade. Join in the energetic dancing to parang music and taste delicious Amerindian food.
Following services in her honour, the saint's statue is carried aloft through the streets before being returned to her rightful place in the Santa Rosa Church. A Santa Rosa queen is also crowned and heads the procession.
