The Hong Kong Arts Festival is the premier arts event of the year, featuring dance, visual art, theatre and music. Asian, local and international performers make this one of the most vibrant and exciting arts gatherings in the world.

Highlights in 2009 include classic yue opera stories performed by the Shanghai Yueju Opera Theatre, Kafka's Metamorphosis by the Vesturport Theatre of Iceland, The Peony Pavilion by the National Ballet of China and Bernard Haitink conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
