The New York Comedy Festival, held at venues across the city, is devoted to comedy filmmaking. Aimed at "celebrating the people who make us laugh", the event screens new and upcoming comedy features and shorts.
Founded in 2004, the festival usually screens both smaller flicks which have yet to find distribution and independents with major backers. There are also discussions and seminars, which in the past have featured people like the Farrelly Brothers and South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
Event details can change. Please check with the organisers that the event is happening before making travel arrangements.
