The TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival, Whistler's April extravaganza, electrifies the resort for ten days. Watch the action, warm up at free outdoor gigs and join DJs and party people at night in clubs all over the resort.
The festival is made up of a number of individual events. Highlights include the World Snowboarding Open, a Superpipe and Slopestyle competition and a Big Air jump-off. In the evenings, stunt skiers and snowboarders race head-to-head and pull off astonishing tricks in the light of slope-side flame-throwers.
Many features are free, including the Urban Rail Session, the Big Air competition, the Skate Zone and events throughout the village. A moderately priced lift pass is required to get to the on-hill events, and you need skis or a snowboard to get to the Superpipe.
There's a full daily musical programme on an outdoor stage at the base of the mountains. When the sporting action is over, the entertainment continues into the small hours of the morning in Whistler's many nightclubs.
Event details can change. Please check with the organisers that the event is happening before making travel arrangements.
