Sydney - Event

Carols in the Domain is a giant candlelit carol service held outdoors on a balmy summer evening in Sydney. Free and open to all, around 100,000 people belt out Christmas anthems and ooh and aah over the final fireworks display.

There is family entertainment from lunchtime onwards, with the actual concert starting soon after nightfall. Expect all the old classics, some celebrity appearances and plenty of audience participation.

The event is broadcast on televisions across the nation. It is also a major fundraiser for its two official charities: The Salvation Army and The Salvation Army Oasis Youth Support Network.
