For one spellbinding night a year, Lake St Moritz hosts a display of open-air figure skating. Watch some of the world's best skaters salchow and lutz across the lake's frozen surface, backed by snowy mountains in the high alpine Engadine valley.
Where similar events cram up to 10,000 spectators into stadiums, Art on Ice is an intimate affair, and the audience of 500 sit close enough to see the skaters' sequins glint in the moonlight. Ice-masters such as Stéphane Lambiel and Olympic gold-medallist Evgeny Plushenko twirl across the frosted stage to the strains of Chris de Burgh, Paul Young or other global artists.
After the glittering outdoor show, you warm up with a hearty dinner in the marquee, with courses interspersed by a private concert from the guest musician.
Event details can change. Please check with the organisers that the event is happening before making travel arrangements.
