The Christmas Ship Festival is a magical holiday celebration in Seattle, Washington that has become a local Northwest tradition since its inception in 1950. The brilliantly lit ships run nightly from the end of November to just before Christmas.
The Christmas Ship Festival sees a flotilla of boats cruise along Elliott Bay and the lakes of Seattle, booming out carols for all to hear. There are cruises to over 45 waterfront destinations, with nightly concerts during the first three weeks of December
From the official Christmas Ship, The Spirit of Seattle, local choirs sing cheery carols which are broadcast via speakers.
