The Phoenix Film Festival focuses on independent films and filmmaking. With screenings at venues around the city, the event welcomes more than 18,000 visitors every year and usually opens with a party featuring celebrity guests and filmmakers.
As well as screenings and premières of independent films, there are education outreach days, competitions, seminars and musical acts.
Competition films and the short film selections are announced about two months before each event. Please visit the festival website for the latest on this year's programme.
