Building on the success of Switzerland's famous Art Basel in June, Art Basel Miami Beach transforms the Miami Beach Convention Center into a magnet for the world's artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors and art lovers.
Bringing together painting and drawing, sculptures, installations, photography, video, multimedia art and performances, works by hundreds of artists are exhibited by 150 galleries from Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
The display spans the broad sweep from masters of classical modern art to protagonists of contemporary art, including raw new talent. A programme of art in public places rounds out the schedule.
The official event list is published at the beginning of September on the Art Basel Miami Beach website.
