Every year the province of Madrid hosts the Festival de Otoño (Autumn Festival). The eclectic programme sees music, theatre, dance and circus events laid on throughout the capital and its environs.
The 2009 theatre programme features productions from all over the world, such as Médée from France, The Blue Dragon from Canada and Nunzio from Italy. The music line-up includes performances from Norwegian singer-songwriter Hanne Hukkelberg, modern music group Whale Watching Tour and Japanese pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto.
