The Lisbon Marathon is one of Europe's most popular, attracting big names to the professional race and thousands to run for charity or for the sense of achievement it offers. Catch the jubilant runners cross the finishing line at Commerce Square.
It's said that Portugal is the country where you are least likely to see a jogger, but whoever said that will have to eat their words if they stray into Lisbon on the day of Lisbon Marathon. If you can't get a viewing spot at Praça do Cómercio, opt for anywhere along the river between Belem and Nations' Park.
