Housing a great number of discoveries from the pre-Nuragic period (somewhere between 1500 and 900 BC) to Roman times, the National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari is the most authentic way to find out about Sardinia's intriguing past.
One of the museum's must-see sections displays a series of sculptures dating back to the Bronze Age, representing curious details of the social organisation and ideologies of that time.
