Colorado's International Snow Sculpting Competition is an annual contest where teams from around the world gather in Breckenridge to create works of art from snow. Sculptures are carved in the centre of Breckenridge, Colorado.
International contenders are attracted by the prestige of the contest, and the chance of beating the Russians, who have a tendency to win it every year.
Colorado's International Snow Sculpting Competition leads up to the Ullr festival the following week, which honours the Norse god of snow.
