A taste of the Orient comes to Berlin, as the city hosts the annual Japan Festival. From sushi to kung fu, this celebration is dedicated to the many facets of Japanese art and culture.
Highlights include Japanese martial arts, strategic board games like shogi (chess), as well as art forms such as ikebana (flower arranging), calligraphy, origami, ink painting, kimono art and Manga comics.
A wide range of entertainment keeps the crowds amused, with Taiko drumming, traditional Japanese dancing, sword fighting, storytelling and, of course, the obligatory karaoke.
Event details can change. Please check with the organisers that the event is happening before making travel arrangements.
