Berlin's German Kinemathek Film and TV Museum studies the film and photographic images generated during Germany's 'peaceful revolution'. Members of the public were asked to dig out their old pictures for the exhibition Moments in Time 1989/1990.
The images on display were taken or made between 1 May 1989 (the date of the last May Day parade of the GDR) and 2 December 1990, when the first all-German Bundestag elections were held.
