Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest game reserve has the highest diversity of mammals for any national park in the world. Walking, driving and horseback safaris are a popular way to see the wildlife. Accommodation is provided at many game lodges.
All of Zimbabwe's specially protected animals reside in the park including an array of birdlife, vast herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra and a large concentration of giraffe. Many predators, such as the brown hyena, are also to be found.
