Stand on top of Africa by walking up one of the world's most accessible high peaks, Kilimanjaro. Nestling by the Kenyan border, this Tanzanian mountain rises 5892 metres (19,300 feet) above sea level and is famous for its snowy top.
Visit soon though - global warming appears to be melting the ice cap and it won't be there by the end of this century. The surrounding national park includes various habitats, from lush footslopes to alpine deserts, with plentiful and diverse flora and fauna.
