Set in the Al Bida district of downtown Doha, the Moorish-style Doha Fort was once a Turkish military barracks, built during the Ottoman occupation. The sturdy walls shelter a superb collection of traditional crafts including weavings, intricate wood carvings, paintings and goldwork. The museum surrounds a peaceful inner courtyard, where visitors can relax beside the fountain.
