Malta - Event

The Malta Marathon, the biggest athletic event on the island, begins in medieval Mdina and ends at the seaside resort of Sliema, attracting more than 1000 enthusiastic runners. A half marathon is organised concurrently.

Starting at the gates of the medieval city, one of the highest points on the island, the route takes the athletes through Malta's pretty countryside and several villages including Mosta, famed for its massive domed church, which lays claim to being the fourth largest in the world.
